Petrovac
Petrovac na Moru is a picturesque resort town located on the Adriatic coast between Budva and Bar. Its history dates back to the Roman era, when it was a small settlement mentioned in the Chronicle of the Priest of Duklja. Evidence of this period can still be found in ancient mosaics, ruins of Roman villas, and old burial sites. During the Venetian Republic, the town was known as Castell Lastva and served as an important trading and defensive outpost.
In the early 20th century, the settlement was renamed Petrovac in honor of King Peter I Karadjordjevic, during whose reign the town saw significant development.
