The Fountaine Pajot Lucia 40 catamaran, designed by the Berret-Racoupeau studio, is a modern vessel focused on comfort and ease of use. It has a length of 11.73 meters and a beam of 6.63 meters, providing ample space for the crew and well-organized living areas. The cockpit, measuring approximately 12 m², offers an excellent space for relaxation and socializing in the open air. The interior is designed to maximize natural light, with large panoramic windows creating a sense of openness. In our fleet, the Merengue Lucia 40 is available in a four-cabin configuration, allowing up to eight guests to be accommodated in the cabins, with an additional two berths available in the saloon. The total sail area is 95 m², including the mainsail and genoa. The yacht is powered by two Volvo Penta engines of 30 HP each, providing a cruising speed of around 9 knots in favorable weather conditions.
A 300-liter fuel tank and two 265-liter water tanks ensure sufficient autonomy for extended voyages. One of the key advantages of a catamaran over a traditional monohull yacht is its stability. Thanks to its twin-hull design, the catamaran experiences significantly less heeling, making it more comfortable for both the crew and passengers. This is particularly important for long-distance cruising, as it reduces fatigue and the likelihood of seasickness. Another advantage is the spacious living area and deck, offering greater comfort for onboard relaxation. Additionally, the shallower draft of a catamaran compared to a monohull allows it to anchor in shallower waters and explore coastal areas that may be inaccessible to deep-draft yachts.
